With just one look
Into your deep, dark eyes,
You show me feelings
Words alone cannot describe.
Sometimes they shine
With a love and affection
So intense and complete
It takes my breath away.
Other times,
Your desire shows through.
Making your eyes sparkle,
As if white-hot flames
Were erupting from
Those liquid pools.
My only hope is that
The day will never come
When your beautiful, shining eyes
Become dull and empty
As you gaze back into mine.
